Interactions

with other drugs



H2 antagonists, phenytoin and tetracycline
  • Sucralfate may decrease the bioavailability of H2 antagonists (eg cimetidine Cimetidine ) and although there is little evidence to support that this is of clinical importance it may be a wise precaution to administer sucralfate at least 2 hours before these drugs.
Digoxin and fluoroquinolones
  • Sucralfate significantly interferes with the absorption of digoxin Digoxin and fluoroquinolones.
