Probenecid
  • Decreases the renal excretion of nitrofurantoin and may increase its serum levels to toxic ranges.
Antimuscarinic drugs
  • The bioavailability of nitrofurantoin may be increased by antimuscarinic drugs as it delays gastric emptying time and increases absorption.
