Interactions

with other drugs

  • Do not use together with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or corticosteroids, medicines commonly used in the treatment of pain, inflammation and allergies. Dogs and cats receiving ACE inhibitors and/or diuretics concurrently with cimicoxib should be monitored carefully for signs of hypotension that will increase the risk of renal side effects. NSAIDs have the potential to increase serum potassium concentration, moniotr potassium concentrations in dogs receiving supplemental potassium (for example as part of a management protocol of chronic kidney disease).
