Interactions

with other drugs

  • Bacteriocidal activity reduced by concomitant use of bacteriostatic agents:
  • Increased risk of nephrotoxicity if used with amphotericin or loop diuretics eg frusemide Furosemide.
  • Reduced excretion if given with probenecid.
