  • Signs: easily damaged skin, alopecia, erythema.
  • Recognised in English Setter and English Setter crosses.
  • Diagnosis: histopathology.
  • Treatment: none.
  • Prognosis: incurable but lesions often asymptomatic.

Pathogenesis

Etiology

  • Familial.

Pathophysiology

  • Presumed disorder of cell cohesion.

Timecourse

  • Persists throughout life.
